About this bike
A 1999 BMW R1100, powered by the 1,085cc boxer twin that made BMW's name for covering big miles without fuss. The engine sits low and wide, the shaft drive means there is no chain to oil or adjust, and the whole bike has the unhurried, well-engineered feel that people keep these for decades.
This one has been given a stripped-back café roadster look: silver tank, a small flyscreen over the round headlamp, black exhaust and not much else in the way. It draws a crowd wherever it is parked, and it has been through our workshop before going on sale.
