Servicing is the cheapest work you will ever have done on a motorcycle, because it is the work that stops the expensive jobs happening. Oil that has gone past its life, a chain run dry, brake fluid that has drawn in moisture over three winters: none of it announces itself until something more costly goes wrong.

What a service includes

An interim service covers engine oil and filter, chain adjustment and lubrication, tyre condition and pressures, brake pad wear, fluid levels, lights and controls, and a general look over the bike for anything working loose.

A full service adds air filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, coolant where fitted, valve clearances on machines that need them, and a closer inspection of steering head and suspension. What exactly gets done depends on your bike and its mileage, and we will go through it with you when you book.

Intervals that suit how you ride

Manufacturer intervals assume an average rider. If your bike does two thousand miles a year of short summer trips, or twelve thousand a year commuting through winter salt, the sensible schedule is different. We will tell you what your bike actually needs rather than reading you a table.

What it costs

Labour is £60 per hour plus parts, and you get a price before we start. A service is quoted on what your bike actually needs rather than a fixed package you may not want all of.

If you would rather supply your own oil, filters or plugs, that is fine. We will fit parts you have bought yourself at the same rate.

One visit, not two

If your MOT is due around the same time, have both done together. The bike is already on the ramp, you make one trip, you pay the £29 MOT fee once, and anything the MOT picks up can be sorted while it is here.
